January 9 Collective (J9C) was established by a group of friends and colleagues on January 9, 2012 with the conviction that every Nigerian has a vital role in nation-building and development.

In 2013, to celebrate our first anniversary, we introduced the J9C Annual Lecture to further project our common values and love for our country. It has become a gathering where national issues are x-rayed through intellectual discourse.

It is the intention of the members of the J9C that excellence and sacrifice are essential in the governance and leadership of Nigeria.

J9C has pledged to ensure that leadership is truly by example by dedicating itself to attaining the highest standards in the public and private life of its members.

The Collective is dedicated to service in leadership and governance while creating remote benefits for its members and fostering unity and progress from within.

To be a formidable organization embedded in camaraderie and solidarity for one another whose collective strength is applied to the benefit of our country Nigeria.

To ensure good governance through engagement, education and awareness of the Nigerian mass while remotely fostering shared values among members through collective direction of pooled resources.
